**Job Title**: PGT - English Teacher
- **Location**: The Lexicon International School, Pune.

**Reporting To**: Principal / Academic Coordinator

**Job Type**: Full-Time
- **Job Summary**:

- **Key Responsibilities**:

- **Academic Delivery**:

- Teach English literature and language to senior secondary students (Grades 11-12) as per the prescribed curriculum (CBSE).
- Design lesson plans, teaching aids, and assignments that encourage in-depth understanding and analysis of literary texts.
- Facilitate classroom discussions on poetry, prose, drama, and contemporary issues in English.
- **Assessment & Evaluation**:

- Prepare, administer, and grade examinations, tests, and assignments.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and maintain academic records.
- Guide students in developing strong reading comprehension, essay writing, and communication skills.
- **Mentoring & Guidance**:

- Support students in preparing for board exams, debates, writing competitions, and literary events.
- Offer academic guidance and mentorship to students interested in English literature or careers in communication, journalism, or the arts.
- **Curriculum Development**:

- Contribute to the development and enrichment of the English curriculum through collaboration and innovation.
- **Professional Responsibilities**:

- Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Maintain discipline and decorum in the classroom and uphold school policies.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and management to ensure consistent academic standards.
- **Qualifications & Skills**:

- Master’s degree in English Literature or English Language.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience teaching English at the senior secondary level.
- Strong command over written and spoken English.
- Familiarity with board exam patterns, marking schemes, and curriculum changes.
- Proficient in using digital tools and online teaching platforms.

Pay: ₹40,746.73 - ₹50,067.70 per month
