**Responsibilities**:

- File Preparation: Prepress graphic designers receive design files from clients or other designers and prepare them for print production. This includes ensuring correct file formats, color modes, image resolutions, and proper imposition for printing.
- Color Management: They are responsible for managing color accuracy and consistency throughout the printing process. This involves calibrating and profiling equipment, such as monitors and printers, and making color adjustments to achieve accurate results.
- Image Editing and Enhancement: Prepress designers work with images to enhance their quality, adjust colors, crop, and retouch as needed. They ensure that images are suitable for print reproduction and meet the required specifications.
- Proofing and Quality Control: They review proofs and perform quality control checks to ensure that files are error-free and meet the print production requirements. This involves checking for image resolution, font issues, bleeds, and proper color separations.
- Print Production Knowledge: Prepress designers need to have a good understanding of various printing processes, such as offset printing, digital printing, and large format printing. They should be familiar with different file formats and be able to advise on the best practices for optimal print results.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Proficiency in Graphic Design Software: Prepress designers should be skilled in using graphic design software like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or other industry-standard tools.
- Technical Knowledge: They need to have a solid understanding of file formats, color modes (RGB, CMYK), color management, image resolutions, and printing techniques.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail is crucial in prepress work to catch any errors or inconsistencies before sending files to production. They should have a keen eye for color accuracy, image quality, and typographical errors.
- Communication and Collaboration: Prepress designers often work closely with clients, print operators, and other members of the production team. Strong communication skills are essential to understand project requirements, provide guidance, and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Problem-Solving Skills: They should have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to file preparation, color matching, and print production.

**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
