Sholinganallur Chennai Tamil Nadu, India Tree - Teaching reimagined Full time

To deliver high-quality English language and literature instruction in alignment with the Cambridge **IGCSE curriculum for middle school students (typically Grades 6-10)**. The teacher will foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love for reading and writing among students.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate English lessons aligned with IGCSE standards.
- Teach English Language and Literature, focusing on reading comprehension, writing, grammar, speaking, and listening.
- Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessments in line with IGCSE learning objectives.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and classroom strategies to meet diverse student needs.
- Prepare students for internal assessments and the IGCSE examinations.
- Monitor and track student progress; provide regular feedback to students and parents.
- Create a supportive and positive learning environment that promotes student confidence and participation.
- Collaborate with colleagues in interdisciplinary projects and curriculum development.
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development activities.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in English Literature, English Language, or Education.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred).
- Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience in an international or IGCSE curriculum setting.
- Familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE syllabus and assessment criteria.

**Skills & Competencies**:

- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction for mixed-ability groups.
- Proficiency in digital teaching tools (Google Classroom, MS Teams, etc.).
- Passion for literature and language, and the ability to inspire the same in students.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
