A Dentist is a healthcare professional responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing oral health problems in patients of all ages. They perform a wide range of procedures, including routine cleanings, restorative treatments, and oral surgeries, while educating patients on maintaining proper oral hygiene.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Patient Care and Diagnosis**:

- Conduct oral examinations to diagnose dental issues.
- Review patient medical histories and assess their overall oral health.
- Use diagnostic tools like X-rays and dental models.
- **Treatment Planning and Execution**:

- Develop and explain treatment plans to address oral health issues.
- Perform restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, and dentures.
- Conduct tooth extractions, root canals, and other dental surgeries.
- Address cosmetic dental concerns through procedures like teeth whitening, veneers, and orthodontics.
- **Preventive Care**:

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive measures.
- **Surgical and Emergency Procedures**:

- Handle dental emergencies such as infections, trauma, or abscesses.
- Perform complex surgical procedures, including implants or corrective jaw surgeries.
- **Practice Management and Compliance**:

- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure all treatments comply with dental health regulations.
- Manage dental assistants and hygienists, providing guidance as needed.
