**Data Architect**

**IT Enterprise Architect, Data**:
Enable speed, agility, and efficiency for Bayer’s Divisions and Enabling Functions through the development, governance, and consultation of Bayer’s Enterprise Architecture, focusing on Data Capabilities.

**TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop relationships throughout Bayer’s Divisions and Enabling Functions to understand long-term business and IT strategies, objectives, and current state.
- Maintain external relationships to understand evolution of related business and IT industry trends, such as technology shifts, available technical expertise, and regulations.
- Develop Enterprise Architecture (EA) strategies, roadmaps, standards, patterns, and related artifacts to close the gap between Bayer’s business / IT objectives and current state, considering the evolution of business and IT trends over the next 5 - 10 years.
- Govern IT decisions and usage at Bayer through active involvement in the IT Portfolio, IT Procurement, and Architecture Governance Processes. Facilitate analyses and decisions to manage and develop Bayer’s Enterprise Architecture.
- Act as a consultant to educate Bayer’s Divisions and Enabling Functions on the Enterprise Architecture and facilitate its proper use. Leverage feedback and experience to further develop the Architecture.
- Work as a member of the EA team to achieve results holistically for all capability areas of Bayer’s Enterprise Architecture.
- Coach and mentor business and IT professionals in their development of Architecture principles, skills, and understanding.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 10+ years working experience in planning, delivering, and operating IT solutions.
- 5+ years working experience in a variety of Data technologies (Batch Processing, Data Wrangling, Data Warehouses, Data Management, etc.)
- Experience with a wide range of hyperscaler native and 3rd-party data technologies (e.g. Redshift, Big Query, Informatica, Snowflake, Databricks)
- 1+ year working experience with the Collibra Data Management suite.
- 3+ years IT Architecture experience (Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, etc.)
- Knowledge of TOGAF. Certification preferred.
- Strong Communication skills. Must be able to explain complicated IT topics, listen, and adapt to audience.
- Proven experience facilitating technology decisions to achieve business outcomes & IT goals.
- Strong collaboration mindset and ability to work as part of team.
