**Roles and Responsibilities Accounts Receivable**:
An **AR** (Accounts Receivable) caller is a professional responsible for following up on unpaid or denied medical claims to insurance companies or patients. Their main roles and responsibilities include:
1. **Following up on unpaid medical claims**: The AR caller is responsible for tracking and following up on unpaid or rejected medical claims. They must ensure that claims are paid correctly and in a timely manner.

2. **Analysing EOBs (Explanation of Benefits)**: The AR caller reviews and analyses EOBs received from insurance companies to identify reasons for claim denials, underpayments, or payment delays.

3. **Verifying patient information**: The AR caller confirms patient information such as demographics, insurance coverage, and eligibility to ensure that claims are submitted accurately and promptly.

4. **Resolving claim issues**: The AR caller communicates with insurance companies and patients to resolve any issues related to medical claims. This may involve identifying billing errors, providing additional information, or negotiating payment arrangements.

5. **Maintaining accurate records**: The AR caller maintains accurate records of all claim submissions, payment details, and follow-up activities. They must also ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other industry standards.

Overall, the AR caller plays a critical role in the medical billing process, ensuring that healthcare providers receive payment for services rendered and that patients are not held responsible for incorrect or denied claims.
