Jgm - Trade Finance

**Job Purpose**:

- To function as a senior resource for International Banking & Structured Trade Finance in the role of analyst for structured trade finance activities and manager of export compliances and international banking transactions.
- To analyze structured trade finance proposals of export prepayments/ inventory financing/ cargo financing, etc., advise on feasibility/ economics and prepare approval proposals
- To manage negotiation and execution of facility documentation for STF transactions with legal counsels, lenders and external parties
- To maintain relationship with banks, negotiate fine deals with foreign/ Indian banks for domestic / offshore/ receivables purchase deals, etc. for the company’s trade requirement.
- To prepare and improvise MIS statements for trade operations and manage communications with the RBI, MOPNG, lenders, etc.
- To independently carry out and supervise banking transactions for exports and other non-crude imports and compliances
- Possess superior knowledge of & relevant experience in international banking, FEMA, Contracts, Trade Finance operations, Contracts e.g. LCs, negotiation of export finance facility, LCs for exports/ imports, Buyers/ supplier credits, etc.
- To provide guidance and support to the junior members of WC team and review their work and audit evidence and train and mentor them with aim to improving their knowledge and performance.

**Accountabilities & Responsibilities**:

- 1- Prepare and analyse proposals of Structured Trade finance and develop feasible alternatives- Coordinate with IST, legal counsels, treasury and front office
- Liase with banks & counterparties to discuss the proposals
- Prepare detailed presentations with due diligence
- Engage with internal teams to gather relevant inputs
- 2- Prepare and supervise various Management Reports and communication with Lenders and authorities on Trade and RBI regulations- Prepare and supervise management reports on exports, STF, economics, intra group trade transactions, etc.
- Coordinate and prepare communications with RBI and authorities
- Effective correspondence with the lenders on trade matters
- 3- Supervise the operations of Export trade finance and Manage financing Documentation.- Documentation for Export Prepays, export negotiations pre and post transaction
- Manage facility documentation with lawyers, banks and complete CPs, etc.
- Possess good knowledge for documentation in areas of legal, FEMA, trading business, ICC rules, etc
- Ensure liability servicing on value date during facility tenor
- 4- Manage relationship with Foreign/ Indian banks for trade finance requirements (export LC negotiation, etc)- Engaging with Indian/ foreign banks
- Negotiating for best rate with object to save finance cost.
- Ensure all TF operations are timely and verifying the fees/ charges
- Be able to handle other areas of Trade finance operations in absence of Lead - Imports and WC
- 5- Responsible to ensure Trade operations with relevant regulatory compliance- Preparation and supervising submission of documents to AD banks, RBI & others on exports, STF, etc.
- Trouble shooting/ handle bank / CP queries on deals
- Keeping abreast of trade practices and FEMA rules Coordination for Internal Audit and Statutory Audit as required**Skills & Knowledge**:

- **Education Qualifications & Certification**: Qualified Chartered Accountant or MBA (Finance)
- **Working Experience**: 12- 15 years of relevant work experience post qualification
- **Functional Skills**: Industry background for Oil & Gas will be a definite plus point; Superior knowledge of Banking and Trade finance; Sound analytic skills and inclination to business and strategy will be an advantage
- **Behavioral Skills**: Superior Inter personal skills; Excellent communications skills - verbal and written; Eye for detail and benchmarking
