Job Title: Fashion Designer Intern

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

Garment Design & Development:

- Assist in the design and development of unique garment concepts from sketch to final production.
- Contribute to pattern making, sewing, fitting, and alterations during the prototype phase.

Embroidery Design & Application:

- Create and experiment with embroidery designs using both hand and machine techniques.
- Integrate embroidery elements seamlessly into garment designs to enhance aesthetic appeal.

Prototyping & Sampling:

- Collaborate with the production team to build, test, and refine prototypes and samples.
- Incorporate feedback to improve fit, functionality, and design details.

Material & Fabric Selection:

- Work with senior designers to select appropriate fabrics and materials that meet design and quality standards.
- Assist in fabric testing and evaluation to ensure compatibility with design intentions.

Trend Research & Innovation:

- Stay updated on current fashion trends, emerging têxtile technologies, and innovative embroidery techniques.

Collaboration & Communication:

- Work in close coordination with cross-functional teams including design, production, and marketing.
- Present design ideas through sketches, mood boards, and technical documentation.

Portfolio Development:

- Document project work and design iterations to build a comprehensive professional portfolio.
- Engage in continuous learning to enhance creative and technical skills.

**Qualifications**:
Educational Background:

- Currently enrolled or recently graduated from prestigious fashion institutes such as NIFT, INIFD, INSd, or equivalent.
- Strong academic background in Fashion Design with emphasis on garment construction and embroidery.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop) is an advantage.
- Practical knowledge of sewing, pattern making, and both traditional and contemporary embroidery techniques.

Creative & Analytical Abilities:

- Demonstrable creative flair with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to translate innovative concepts into feasible, production-ready designs.

Interpersonal Skills:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Other Attributes:

- Proactive, motivated, and willing to learn from industry professionals.
- Passion for fashion, têxtiles, and the art of garment making.

Internship Details

Duration: 3-6 months

Stipend: Rs.7000 - Rs. 10,000
