JOB OVERVIEW
- Responsible for medical management and patient care.
- JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily Clinical rounds along with senior consultants of the patients admitted in obstetrics & gynaecology Department.
- Patients health status counselling to relatives.
- Verify the treatment plans of all patients and advice evidence based correction, as and when required post discussion with admitting physician consultant.
- Perform and document history & physical examination
- Develop and documents initial plan of care
- Document daily progress notes
- Obtain and document informed consent
- Order appropriate investigations and interpret results
- Order and administer appropriate medication and other investigations as required
- Audit and approve discharge summary given by DMO and get approval of consultant in the prescribed timeline to avoid delay in discharge delay.
- Update consultant (in house/VC) on call every morning on status of patient before shift change.
- Actively participate in training of nursing staff in the department
- Immediate response to code (e.g.: Code blue) announcements in the hospital
