Job Summary: The Architectural Model Maker will be responsible for creating high-quality, detailed physical models of architectural designs. This role involves translating architectural concepts into tangible representations that assist in the visualization, presentation, and evaluation of design projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Model Creation**:

- Construct accurate and detailed architectural models using materials such as wood, foam, acrylic, and other relevant materials.
- Interpret architectural drawings, plans, and specifications to create scale models that reflect the design intent.
- **Material and Tool Management**:

- Select appropriate materials and tools for each model based on project requirements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to cut, shape, and assemble model components.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of tools and equipment.
- **Finishing and Detailing**:

- Add details such as landscaping, furniture, and lighting to enhance model presentation.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with architects, designers, and project managers to understand and interpret design requirements.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to project stakeholders.
- Incorporate feedback and revise models as needed.
- **Project Management**:

- Plan and manage model-making tasks, including estimating time and material requirements.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliver high-quality models within specified deadlines.
- **Maintenance and Organization**:

- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that materials and tools are properly stored.
- Manage inventory of model-making supplies and materials, ordering replacements as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High school/ Bachelor's degree in Architecture/ diploma or equivalent; formal training in model making, architecture, or a related field is advantageous.
- **Experience**: Proven experience in architectural model making, with a portfolio demonstrating relevant skills and completed projects.
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in using modeling tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in model creation.
- Familiarity with architectural design principles and technical drawings.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and creativity.
