**Overview**: The Music Teacher will be responsible for providing high-quality music education to students in classes 6 to 8. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, fostering an appreciation for music, and guiding students in both vocal and instrumental performance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Instructional Delivery**:

- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials for music education, including music theory, history, and practical skills.
- Teach students various aspects of music, including rhythm, melody, harmony, and musical notation.
- Instruct students in vocal and instrumental techniques, including playing musical instruments, singing, and basic composition.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Assess and evaluate student performance through practical tests, performances, and written assignments.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on students’ musical progress and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and achievements.
- **Student Support**:

- Offer additional support and tutoring to students who may need help with music theory or performance skills.
- Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages students to develop their musical talents and express their creativity.
- Organize and prepare students for musical performances, recitals, and school events.
- **Program Development**:

- Develop and organize music programs, including school concerts, musical theater productions, and other performances.
- Promote student participation in music-related extracurricular activities and clubs.
- Stay informed about current trends in music education and incorporate innovative practices into lesson planning and teaching.
- **Classroom and Facility Management**:

- Maintain and manage music equipment, instruments, and resources, ensuring they are in good condition and properly used.
- Create a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to music learning and practice.
- **Professional Development**:

- Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and training sessions to continually improve teaching practices and stay updated with educational trends.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to school-wide artistic and educational initiatives.
- **Communication**:

- Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Provide regular updates to parents regarding their child’s progress in music education and any upcoming performances.
- Engage in parent-teacher conferences and other school-related events as required.

**Qualifications**:

- **Educational Requirements**:

- B.Mus./M.Mus. (Bachelor/Master of Music) or equivalent degree in Music with a focus on education.
- **Experience**:

- Proven experience teaching music to middle school students.
- Familiarity with educational standards and assessment methods for music education.
- **Skills and Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of music theory, performance techniques, and teaching methodologies.
- Proficiency in one or more musical instruments and/or vocal performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
