**The responsibilities of 2d Background & Layout Artist**:

- Create background and 2D animation assets like environments, surfaces and matte paintings based on appropriate creative direction
- Follow the key BG reference and paint the B/W layouts with proper color, shadows and highlights to bring the perspective.
- Should work creatively by generating more of forests, cities and modern interiors.
- Understand how to use light and shadow, and how to create atmosphere
- Be able to follow established designs
- Be neat and methodical
- Understand the 2D animation process, including camera mechanics
- Possess excellent and adaptable drawing skills including good understanding of composition and perspective
