At DataLabs, Capital One India, we solve fundamental business problems at scale using advanced analytics, data science and machine learning. We specialize in deriving valuable insights about various aspects of the business - including product and process design, consumer behavior, regulatory and credit risk, and much more - leveraging large volumes of data and cloud based processing to build cutting edge patentable products at an industrial scale.

DataLabs is looking for data scientists to drive our foray into autonomous and intelligent data products that solve the full gamut of business and analytical needs. What are we looking for?
- Statistically-minded: You’ve built models, validated them, and back tested them. You know how to interpret a confusion matrix or a ROC curve. You have experience with clustering, classification, time series, decision trees and deep learning.
- Strong technical skills: You’re comfortable with open-source languages and are passionate about developing further. You have hands-on experience developing data science solutions using open-source tools and cloud computing platforms.
- Strategic & analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem

solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation
- Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity: He/she should be tenacious

decision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business
- Strong communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials,

coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through

intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Clear results orientation: Display an intense focus on achieving both short and long

term goals. He/she should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and

fluid environment
- Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic

environment.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- AI and Risk management: Build and validate statistical and machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation and implementation. In addition, develop new ways of identifying weak spots in model predictions earlier and with more confidence than the best available methods
- Analysis: Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for

them
