**Job Summary**

The Commie will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food items in the cinema's kitchen. The role demands proficiency in cutting skills, preparation (mise en place), hygiene, and ensuring the quality of quick-serving food items such as burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, Frankie’s, Thai rice, and other related items. The Commie will also contribute to preparing and testing newly introduced menu items as part of the kitchen team.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Food Preparation and Cooking**

Perform cutting, chopping, slicing, and other basic preparation techniques with speed and precision.

Prepare mise en place for the daily menu items and ensure timely availability of ingredients.

Cook and assemble quick-serving items, including burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, Frankie’s, Thai rice, and other similar items.

Assist in preparing and experimenting with newly introduced food items to maintain consistency and quality before launching to customers.

**Food Knowledge**

Maintain thorough knowledge of recipes, portion sizes, and cooking techniques for all menu items, including newly launched items.

Stay updated on new trends in quick-service foods and contribute ideas for menu enhancements.

**Hygiene and Cleaning**

Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment, and utensils.

Comply with food safety standards and maintain a clean working environment at all times.

**Equipment and Utensil Management**

Operate and maintain cafe equipment like grills, ovens, fryers, and blenders.

Regularly check the functionality of kitchen equipment and report any issues.

**Inventory and Stock Management**

Assist in monitoring and maintaining stock levels of ingredients and supplies.

Minimize wastage by following proper storage and handling practices.

**Customer Service Support**

Collaborate with service staff to ensure timely and high-quality food delivery to customers.

Adapt to special requests or modifications while preparing food.

**Skills and Qualifications**

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification is a plus.

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in quick-service restaurants or cafes preferred.

**Technical Skills**:
Proficient in cutting techniques and mise en place preparation.

Knowledge of quick-serving food items like burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, frankies, Thai rice, and other items.

Familiarity with cafe kitchen equipment and tools.

**Soft Skills**:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards.

**Additional Attributes**

Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Passion for cooking and experimenting with food preparation techniques.
