**Scope of Role**:

- Technical lead is responsible to within the area of Door Trim product development and details of product design according to standards and guidelines.
- Translate defined product design performance criteria in CAD data & specifications.
- Applies a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures related to Automotive Interior Parts

**Area of Responsibility**:

- This position is responsible for new establishing, planning and running the Automotive Interior trims design and development of trims.
- He/ she Should be able to produce engineering design and concepts into 3D model using CATIA V5.
- Complete ownership of Design and development of Glazing, Creat e Master sections considering Tooling Feasibilities leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverable cadence 3D& 2D (CATIA V5)
- Ensure Standard methodologies are followed to meet Regulatory, Safety & Quality requirements.
- To be able to assign and get the work done from team members effectively.
- Should able to lead the design reviews with cross functional teams & lead engineers.
- Adequate knowledge of plastic molding and design process, DFMEA, DVP, DFA/DFM.
- Knowledge of GD&T, component drawings, Standards and Guidelines etc.
- Ensuring that the all project deliverables is met at given time with Dashboard document.
- Identifying all risks of the programme and make appropriate capitalization documents (Lessons learned, Technical Reports) to feed/improve Design and Development standards and guidelines.

**Knowledge / Experience Essential**:

- Minimum of 3-8 years of automotive product engineering experience required specifically in automotive Door Trim and component design with a strong preference for experience with the Interior Plastics design.
- Extensive experience in using CATIA V5
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good Knowledge of and/or training in:

- Plastic DesignoGlobal Interior parts regulations (Knowing of Indian standards will be an added advantage)
- Trims design processes (both tooling and design)
- Interior parts specific manufacturing requirement.
- Design and development knowledge of Interior parts such as Side Door, IP, Pillar Trims, Structures etc
- Working knowledge of project delivery processes.
- Knowledge of sheet metal coating & painting processes.
- Working experience with global OEM cross functional team s will be an added advantage.
- PC Literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word, etc
- Good Knowledge of Global exterior t rims and bumper \ hood \ Tailgate\ Door system regulations, thermal analysis, Pedestrian, Frontal impact & offset frontal impact, slow speed impact etc.
- Proven project management capability demonstrated by recent delivery on time & budget.
- Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements,
- Excellent communications skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels,
- Significant experience in use of engineering tools FMEA, problem resolution etc.
- Degree in relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
