**The Role**
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, install, configure, and maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases in production and development environments.
- Perform advanced performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
- Manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Oracle RAC, Data Guard, SQL Server Always On, Log Shipping, etc.).
- Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, Data Pump, and SQL Server native tools.
- Monitor database health and proactively resolve issues to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Automate routine tasks using PL/SQL, T-SQL, PowerShell, and shell scripting.
- Lead database migrations, upgrades, and patching activities.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, data governance, and audit requirements.
- Mentor junior DBAs and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Technical and Professional Experience
- 5+ years of experience in database administration with strong hands-on expertise in both Oracle (12c/19c/21c) and SQL Server (2016/2019/2022).
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and database performance tuning techniques.
- Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Familiarity with database monitoring tools (OEM, SQL Server Profiler, Extended Events, etc.)
- Expertise in data mining, data storage and Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes
- Experience in data pipelines development and tooling, e.g., Glue, Databricks, Synapse, or Dataproc
- Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases, PostgreSQL, DB2, MongoDB
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate
