**Required Skills (Technical Competency)**:

- Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Engineering degree required
- Holds a current **Principles Designer Licence (1.1.550)**:

- Schemes Development experience with broad knowledge of **UK railway signalling** standards, design processes and procedures
- Proficient in using appropriate industry standard CAD packages and signalling tools for the development of signalling scheme plans
- Knowledge or experience of undertaking signalling surveys, including knowledge of a broad range of lineside equipment and technologies
- Highly motivated, thorough and disciplined with the ability to work collaboratively with team members, manages time efficiently, prioritise duties and focused on results
- Excellent communication skills, including high standard of English for written communications
- High-energy and collaborative teammate who thrives off of goal setting and achievement
- Exceptional time management, documentation and organizational skills
- Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal and analytical abilities
- Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with mínimal oversight
- Track record of quickly earning credibility based knowledge and ability to learn quickly
- Adept at communicating with developers, non-technical business partners, executives and third party vendors
- Strong problem solving, negotiating, influencing, conflict resolution and decision-making skills
