Cashier

A cashier job involves processing transactions, handling payments (cash, card, etc.), issuing receipts, and maintaining the accuracy of cash drawers. Key responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with queries, handling returns and exchanges, and maintaining a clean workspace. Other duties can include balancing the cash register, informing customers about promotions, and assisting with other store operations like stocking. Key responsibilities
- **Transaction processing**: Accurately scan, weigh, and process customer purchases.
- **Payment handling**: Accept and process various forms of payment (cash, credit/debit cards, checks, mobile payments) and provide correct change and receipts.
- **Customer service**: Greet customers warmly, answer questions about products or store policies, and resolve complaints professionally.
- **Cash management**: Manage the cash register, balance the cash drawer at the start and end of a shift, and follow security procedures.
- **Returns and exchanges**: Process customer returns and exchanges according to company policy.
- **Promotional activities**: Inform customers about current sales, promotions, and loyalty programs.
- **Workstation maintenance**: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.

Required skills and qualifications
- **Customer service orientation**: Friendly and helpful attitude towards customers.
- **Accuracy and attention to detail**: Especially in handling cash and transactions.
- **Basic math skills**: For calculations and balancing the till.
- **Communication skills**: For interacting with customers and colleagues.
- **Point-of-sale (POS) proficiency**: Ability to quickly learn and operate the cash register and related systems.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
