Job Title: English Teacher (IGCSE)

Reports to: Head of English Department/ School Principal

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching and Learning: Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and challenging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.

2. Curriculum Development: Develop and implement IGCSE English Language and Literature curricula, ensuring alignment with school goals and standards.

3. Assessment and Feedback: Design, administer, and grade assessments, providing constructive feedback to students.

4. Student Support: Identify and support students who require additional help, developing strategies to improve student outcomes.

5. Departmental Contributions: Collaborate with colleagues to develop departmental policies, share best practices, and contribute to school-wide initiatives.

6. Parent-Teacher Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns.

**Requirements**:
1. Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master's degree in English Language/Literature or Education.

2. Teaching Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience teaching IGCSE English Language and Literature.

3. IGCSE Certification: Familiarity with IGCSE curriculum and assessment procedures.

4. Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:
1. Lesson Planning: Ability to create engaging, student-centered lessons.

2. Assessment Design: Skill in designing valid and reliable assessments.

3. Technology Integration: Familiarity with educational technology tools.
