Logistic Supervisor

he Logistics Executive is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics operations within a manufacturing environment. This includes managing the transportation, warehousing, distribution, inventory control, and overall coordination of goods flow. The role requires close collaboration with suppliers, production teams, and other departments to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Supply Chain Management**:

- Coordinate the flow of materials and goods to and from the manufacturing plant.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet production demands while avoiding overstocking.
- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- **Transportation & Distribution**:

- Plan and organize the transportation of goods, ensuring cost-effective methods.
- Schedule deliveries and pick-ups to meet production deadlines.
- Monitor delivery routes and track shipments to ensure timely arrivals.
- Ensure compliance with regulations regarding transportation safety, environmental guidelines, and legal requirements.
- **Warehouse Management**:

- Oversee the warehousing of goods, ensuring optimal storage and efficient use of space.
- Monitor stock movements and manage inventory systems (manual or automated) to ensure accurate records.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of materials to minimize damage or loss.
- **Order Fulfillment & Coordination**:

- Manage order processing from the production floor to the end customer.
- Ensure proper documentation is completed for all shipments, including bills of lading and customs documentation where applicable.
- Work with the production team to understand inventory requirements and align them with production schedules.
- **Vendor & Supplier Management**:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics service providers.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Conduct performance evaluations of vendors and logistics partners to ensure service standards are met.
- **Cost Management & Optimization**:

- Analyze logistics costs and identify opportunities to optimize transportation and storage expenses.
- Assist in budget preparation and manage logistics-related costs in line with budgetary constraints.
- **Problem Resolution**:

- Address any delays, shortages, or discrepancies in shipments.
- Investigate issues related to damaged goods, incorrect shipments, or lost products and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of logístical problems.
- **Compliance & Reporting**:

- Ensure all logistics operations comply with industry regulations, including safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Maintain detailed records of logistics transactions and generate reports for management review.
- Provide updates and reports on logistics operations, including performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- **Team Coordination**:

- Supervise and guide logistics assistants, warehouse staff, and other team members.
- Conduct training sessions to ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and operational efficiency.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- **Experience**: 2-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations within the manufacturing industry.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
