**Job Summary**:
Himalaya Medical College and Hospital, located in Chiksi, Paliganj, Patna, is seeking a dedicated and skilled **Operation Theatre Assistant (OTA)**. The OTA will be responsible for preparing and assisting in the operating room, ensuring a sterile environment, handling equipment, and supporting the surgical team to facilitate efficient and safe surgical procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Preparation of Operation Theatre**:

- Set up the OT with necessary sterile and non-sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure that surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment before, during, and after surgeries.
- **Assistance During Surgeries**:

- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nurses during surgical procedures.
- Prepare patients for surgery and help position them on the operating table.
- Manage surgical instruments and materials during procedures, ensuring everything is accounted for.
- **Equipment and Instrument Management**:

- Sterilize and maintain all surgical instruments and ensure proper functioning.
- Check, prepare, and monitor all necessary OT equipment, including lights, anesthesia machines, and monitors.
- **Post-Operative Duties**:

- Dispose of waste materials according to medical waste protocols.
- Clean and restock the OT for the next procedure.
- Assist in transporting patients from the OT to the recovery room as needed.
- **Documentation and Compliance**:

- Maintain accurate records of instruments and materials used during procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OT safety, infection control, and hygiene standards.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Educational Requirement**:

- Degree/Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology or equivalent certification in OT Assistance from a recognized institution.
- **Experience**:

- A minimum of **2-3 years** of experience as an Operation Theatre Assistant in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Knowledge of OT protocols and sterilization techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with composure and professionalism.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with surgical and nursing teams.
- Basic knowledge of medical equipment and safety practices.

**Physical and Other Requirements**:

- Ability to work on shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle OT equipment.
- Willingness to adhere strictly to hospital protocols for hygiene and safety.
