Key Responsibilities:
- **Curriculum Planning and Delivery**:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate art and craft lessons for students in grades 1-8.
- Develop a comprehensive syllabus in line with the CBSE guidelines and school’s educational goals.
- Introduce a variety of artistic techniques such as sketching, painting, clay work, paper crafts, and mixed media.
- **Classroom Management**:
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline while fostering a creative and inclusive environment.
- Ensure that students work safely with materials, tools, and equipment.
- **Skill Development**:
- Encourage students to develop both technical skills and creative expression.
- Identify students' strengths and areas for improvement, providing tailored support to help them succeed.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:
- Assess and evaluate student performance through projects, activities, and regular feedback.
- Maintain records of student progress and provide constructive feedback to both students and parents.
- **Creative Activities and Exhibitions**:
- Organize art exhibitions, competitions, and displays within the school to showcase students' work.
- Encourage participation in inter-school art and craft contests.
- **Resource Management**:
- Ensure that the classroom is well-organized with all necessary supplies (e.g., paints, brushes, clay, paper, etc.).
- Manage the inventory of art materials and equipment.
- **Professional Development**:
- Stay updated with new trends, techniques, and tools in the field of art and craft education.
- Participate in school workshops, training sessions, and professional development programs.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art across the curriculum.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for development.
Qualifications and Skills:
- **Educational Qualification**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (BFA) or an equivalent qualification in Art Education.
- A diploma or certification in Art Education or related fields is a plus.
- **Experience**:
- Previous experience as an Art and Craft Teacher in a CBSE-affiliated school or similar educational setting is preferred.
- Experience teaching students in grades 1 to 8 is desirable.
- **Skills and Attributes**:
- Strong knowledge of various art forms, techniques, and materials.
- Excellent creativity, imagination, and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of various skill levels.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage classroom resources effectively.
Other Requirements:
- Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to work with children.
- A commitment to fostering a positive, nurturing, and creative environment in the classroom.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: ₹21,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
