**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Training Delivery**:

- Conduct DTP training sessions for individuals and groups, both in-person and online, covering software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other related desktop publishing tools.
- Teach essential DTP concepts such as typography, layout design, page composition, color theory, and image editing for print and digital media.
- Provide practical, hands-on exercises and real-world projects that allow students to create brochures, newsletters, posters, business cards, and other printed or digital materials.
- Foster an interactive and engaging learning environment to ensure students can grasp both the creative and technical aspects of desktop publishing.
- **Curriculum and Content Development**:

- Develop and maintain a comprehensive curriculum for desktop publishing training, covering both basic and advanced DTP concepts.
- Create instructional materials such as lesson plans, presentations, handouts, exercises, and assignments.
- Continuously update course content to keep pace with advancements in desktop publishing software and industry trends.
- Tailor training programs based on the learning needs of different audiences, including beginners, intermediate learners, and corporate clients.
- **Student Support and Mentorship**:

- Provide one-on-one support to students who need additional guidance on software tools, design principles, or troubleshooting technical issues.
- Offer constructive feedback on students' work, helping them refine their designs and improve their technical skills.
- Track student progress and provide personalized recommendations for improvement.
- **Assessments and Certification**:

- Develop and administer quizzes, assignments, and practical projects to assess students' understanding of DTP software and design principles.
- Grade student work and provide timely, actionable feedback.
- Award certifications to students who successfully complete the course, ensuring they meet established proficiency standards.
- **Corporate Training and Workshops**:

- Organize and lead customized workshops and corporate training sessions tailored to the specific needs of businesses or teams (e.g., designing marketing materials, creating templates).
- Provide hands-on support for corporate teams to improve their desktop publishing skills and streamline their design processes.
- **Technical Support**:

- Assist students in troubleshooting issues related to DTP software, including installation, file handling, and design errors.
- Guide students in optimizing their workstations for efficient use of desktop publishing software.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Stay current with the latest trends in desktop publishing, design tools, and industry best practices.
- Continuously refine teaching methods and course content based on feedback from students, industry developments, and new software updates.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and software expertise.
- **Reporting and Feedback**:

- Maintain detailed records of student attendance, progress, and performance.
- Provide regular reports on the effectiveness of training programs and suggest improvements.
- Gather feedback from students and incorporate it into future training sessions to enhance the learning experience.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in DTP software (e.g., Adobe Certified Expert) are a plus.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in desktop publishing, graphic design, or related fields.
- Proven experience with desktop publishing software, particularly Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant tools.
- Previous teaching or training experience is highly preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with both print and digital media design, including knowledge of various output formats (e.g., PDF, TIFF, EPS).
- **Technical Skills**:

- In-depth knowledge of DTP software (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
- Proficiency in image editing and vector graphics.
- Familiarity with prepress processes, print production workflows, and digital publishing.
- Basic knowledge of web design (e.g., HTML, CSS) is a plus.
- Familiarity with project management software and collaboration tools is a plus.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain complex design concepts in a simple, engaging way.
- Patience and the ability to work with learners of various skill levels.
