User Experience Strategist

OVERVIEW
An Experience Strategist leverages deep understanding of how product features address customers’ and business’ needs and builds holistic product strategies for front-end development. This product-design SME uses strategic influence to shape complex change requests: ahead of design execution, this role does the upfront work to synthesize, translate and enhance partner needs, then ensure executable module-level solutions optimize positive User and business outcomes. The Experience Strategist leads the strategic methodology involving stakeholder discovery, cross-impact research and collaboration with senior design leads on a path forward elevating User Experience, while optimizing for stakeholder inputs and known business constraints.
Partnership with other groups and disciplines includes Product Management Team and Dev Scrum Teams to ensure clarity in tasks and objectives. The (Sr.) Experience Strategist is the primary SME for module-level functionality, cross product partner dependencies and capabilities within Fusion platform.
**Responsibilities**:
Conducts conversational interviews and partnering with stakeholders throughout the org to validate design requests; translates and enhances the requests to synthesize stakeholder inputs into front-end design requirements (Business, Product/Journey Owners, IT)
Assesses upfront project requirements, alongside acceptance criteria for Dev and QA, and conducts UX gap analyses to support solutioning in collaboration with Creative Leads
Aligns UX needs and Fusion impacts with Producers on sizing/capacity and feasibility of execution/IT delivery
Aligns solution options and decisions with Creative Leads, Journey Owner(s) + Dev stakeholders
Writes design requirements for recommended UX solutions
Serves as an advisor to Creative Team and stakeholders and engages execution teams to synch with evolving UX expectations by Dev handoff
Works with Dev and testing teams to ensure files deliver and are executed to spec
Partners with Product and Executive stakeholders, building strategies, consensus, and strong relationships across strategic partnerships
Collaborates with CRS Product Managers to create an actionable backlog
Advocate for UX and value delivery to the end User customer
Updating and aligning PXD SME library of (new) Module Requirements Documentation and ensures truthful capture of functionality connects back to design platform so the cohesive sources of truth are maintained
Drive UX requirements based on business requirements and project scope
Identify cross-product and cross-platform dependencies for in-flight and in-production modules and components across partnerships
Partner with UX/UI Creative Directors to optimize architecture, user flow and overall customer experience
**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of user experience research tools and techniques (field research, usability testing, benchmarking, lo-fi prototyping, etc.
Experience working in Agile Methodology
Independently scope and plan a research program (can include multiple projects with multiple related studies), consulting with relevant stakeholders and team members.
Conduct competitive and comparative research and analysis to complement user research.
Ability to connect research findings from multiple projects/sources and provide insights on a higher order.
- Advanced understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
Strong moderation skills and methods for group facilitation and consensus building
Ability to work independently, in a team, and with or without direction
Conduct experience planning and facilitating workshops (hypothesis, conceptualizing, design-thinking, insights) with stakeholders to facilitate the design process
Proficiency with MS Office Applications
Working knowledge of UX Design Applications, (Figma, Jira, Confluence, Creative Cloud)
Assigned to specific product subdomain(s) to develop Journey Owner relationships and serve as consulting SME
Serves as backup on a 2
nd
subdomain
Understands and defines requirements for large/jumbo projects; Works closely with Creative Leads & Producers to validate all updates during grooming, WIP review and delivery
Defines Fusion impacts and documents strategic direction for Creative Team to execute
Identifies cross project impacts and communicates correct plans to merge projects
Conducts final review of Creative output to ensure delivery meetings requirements, including completeness and accuracy; final sign-off for document/design verification
Drive strategy and efficiency across the product development lifecycle
