**Job Summary**:
The Commis 2 assists in basic food preparation, organization, and cooking tasks in the kitchen under the supervision of senior chefs. This role involves following kitchen procedures, preparing ingredients, and supporting the Commis 1, Chef de Partie, and Sous Chef to ensure that the kitchen operates efficiently while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Food Preparation**:

- Assist with the preparation of basic ingredients such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats.
- Help in preparing mise-en-place (prep work) for the station assigned by the senior chefs.
- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistent food quality and presentation.
- **Cooking Assistance**:

- Support the Commis 1, Chef de Partie, or Sous Chef in cooking and preparing dishes as per the menu.
- Take responsibility for smaller, simpler dishes, ensuring they are prepared to a high standard.
- Assist with plating dishes during service under the supervision of senior chefs.
- **Maintaining Cleanliness**:

- Keep all work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards during and after each shift.
- Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, cutting boards, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation regulations in all food handling areas.
- **Inventory & Supplies**:

- Assist in checking and receiving kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and equipment, following first-in-first-out (FIFO) procedures.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients at your station and inform supervisors of shortages.
- **Safety & Hygiene**:

- Follow all safety protocols and kitchen regulations, including proper food handling, hygiene, and safety procedures.
- Ensure that food preparation areas and storage are maintained according to food safety standards.
- Report any safety or equipment issues to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work collaboratively with other members of the kitchen team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Assist senior kitchen staff in training new or less experienced team members.
- Communicate effectively with chefs to ensure smooth operations during service.
- **Learning & Development**:

- Observe and learn from senior chefs to develop culinary skills and techniques.
- Stay updated on current kitchen trends and new methods to enhance your skills.
- Seek opportunities to improve your culinary knowledge by participating in training and development programs.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or certification in culinary arts is an advantage.
- **Experience**: 6 months to 1 year of experience in a kitchen environment; relevant internships or previous experience in food preparation is preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, and safety protocols.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
