Data Architect

A Data Architect with expertise in Looker, Qlik, and Power BI is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data systems, including data warehousing, data pipelines, and BI dashboards. They ensure data quality, security, and accessibility while enabling efficient business decision-making through visualizations and reports. This role requires strong technical skills in data modeling, database design, and BI tools, as well as the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Design and Modeling:
Design and implement data models for various purposes, including data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics.
Develop data schemas and ensure data integrity and consistency across different systems.
Optimize data structures for efficient data retrieval and storage.
Data Warehouse and Pipeline Development:
Design and implement data warehouses and data pipelines to collect, transform, and load data from various sources.
Ensure data quality and consistency throughout the data pipeline.
Optimize data warehouse performance and scalability.
Business Intelligence (BI) Dashboard and Report Development:
Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools like Looker, Qlik, and Power BI.
Translate business requirements into visual representations of data that support decision-making.
Ensure dashboards and reports are user-friendly, accurate, and insightful.
Data Security and Governance:
Implement and maintain data security measures to protect sensitive data.
Establish data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance.
Monitor data access and usage to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Communicate data insights and findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Collaborate with other data professionals, including data analysts, data engineers, and database administrators.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of database technologies, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, and data warehousing technologies.
Experience with data modeling techniques and data warehousing design patterns.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
Familiarity with data security and governance practices.
Experience with BI tools like Looker, Qlik, and Power BI.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in data architecture, data warehousing, and business intelligence.
Proven experience in designing and implementing data solutions using BI tools like Looker, Qlik, and Power BI.
Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing principles.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
