One among them is, J.K.K.Nattrajah Dental College & Hospital, Kumarapalayam, established in 1987, Affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. The College is well equipped with the latest laboratory, Clinical facilities, and a treasure trove of a library with the online electronic library information system.
- It is a branch of dentistry that treats children who have teeth-related problems from birth through adolescence
- Teaches the student about interdisciplinary high quality and safe oral health care for children either theoretically or practically.
- Prepare the students to treat the children efficiently by understanding their emotional and cognitive needs, which requires a completely different approach.
- To develop a wide knowledge of child-centered, coordinated, interdisciplinary, high-quality oral health care and to raise awareness among child patients, parents, dental professionals, and other healthcare providers.

- Should have immense experience in teaching to treat not only normal children but also special children.
