We have urgent requirement for Safety Officer in our manufacturing unit.
- **Mission Statement**: As a Safety Officer for the business unit, you will be Advising and instructing on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.) Conducting risk assessment and enforcing preventative measures. Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment) Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc. Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy. Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims. Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management

**Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities**

**Training**

The following training programs should conduct and keep track of documents and records as per the ISO standards.
- **Safety training program**
- Workplace ergonomics
- Fire Safety
- Workplace Violence Prevention
- Environmental safety
- Equipment safety
- **First Aid Training**
- Assessing CPR
- Handling minor and major injuries
- Medical Conditions
- **Mock Drill training**

**Statutory Requirements.(Maintain all documents)**
- Maintain all machineries SOP accordance with industry regulations, law, and company standards.
- Maintains cranes Annual Maintenance Contract(AMC)
- Fire Safety Certificates
- Certificates to be maintained as per environmental acts.
- Noise certificate
- Air and water and other related
- Building stability certificate
- Sanitary certificate
- FSSAI certificate
- Factory Licence
- 5S documents

**Preventive and Corrective measures.**
- Observe workplace practices and determine whether there is any aspect to operations that is unsafe.
- Identify workplace existing and potential hazards.
- Establish the procedures to eliminate these hazards, or otherwise guard/protect against them.
- Examine equipment and determine whether safeguards are sufficient.
- **To advise **the concerned departments in planning and organizing measures necessary for the effective control of personal injuries.
- **To check and evaluate **the effectiveness of the action taken or proposed to be taken to prevent personal injuries.
- **To advise **the purchasing of store departments in ensuring high quality and availability of personal protective equipment.
- **Co-ordinate for the effective health and safety training to different categories of people according to their job profile.**
- Confirm the Fire extinguisher is visible, unobstructed, and in its designated location. Verify the locking pin is intact and the tamper seal is unbroken.
- Ensure that PPE are safe to use and ensure that PPE include such items as gloves, foot and eye protection, protective hearing devices (earplugs, muffs) hard hats, respirators and full body suits.
- Make sure that company vehicles used in the workplace are: Safe, driven safely, and regularly maintained, repaired, inspected.

**ISO and Quality management Implementation**:

- Management and implementation of ISO procedure in the department of Health and Safety.
