**JOB DESCRIPTION of AVP/DVP**

**Job Title: AVP /DVP Department: Operation Fixed Income & Money Market**

**Reports to: Vice President Experience**:
**At least 12 years of experience in the front office / back office of the domestic treasury preferably in a bank**

**Required Qualification: Graduation in any discipline**

**Preferred Qualification: MBA (Finance)**

**Functional Competencies**:

- Full knowledge of all secondary market G-Sec/Money Market trading and settlement (including Forex and Rupee derivatives), operations and accounting, regulations, etc.
- Should understand the Outright, repo and tri party repo concepts, and be able to take independent charge of the development of the trading platform.
- Working knowledge of the regulatory issues affecting the securities market
- Full acquaintance of RBI Notifications / Circulars; Good knowledge of Information Technology and Information Security

**Job Purpose**:
The incumbent will have primary responsibility for managing a team of about 15-20 employees, leading all operations and developments in the area.**Area of Operation/Key Responsibility**
- Official will coordinate and control all operations for clearing and settlement of Government Securities (Outright, market repo and Tri party Repo, USD-INR investments, Collateral and funds management including funds and securities Lines of credit)
- Coordinate and control all operations for Trading Platforms (Tri party Repo),
- Develop capabilities to handle clearing and settlement of new instruments including enhancements on existing systems
- Develop capabilities to handle systems for investments and settlements
- Develop capabilities to handle collateral related activities
- Interact with the Regulators for necessary approvals and for reporting
- Interact with member banks and respond to all queries
- Handle documentation and correspondence particularly LOC agreements / renewals
- Build/maintain relationships with members, regulators, etc.
- Coordinate with other departments where necessary
- Interaction with senior executives/ Directors of the Board etc. in a formal environment
