Melting Shop Incharge

**Job Summary**:
The SMS Incharge is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire operations of the Steel Melting Shop, ensuring efficient production of quality steel as per specifications, while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Production Management**:

- Supervise and control daily operations of the Steel Melting Shop.
- Plan, schedule, and execute steel melting operations to meet production targets.
- Optimize raw material usage (scrap, ferroalloys, etc.) to reduce cost.
- Ensure quality of molten metal before casting.
- **Manpower Handling**:

- Lead and coordinate with shift engineers, supervisors, and shop floor workers.
- Ensure proper manpower deployment and training.
- **Maintenance Coordination**:

- Coordinate with mechanical and electrical maintenance teams to ensure mínimal downtime.
- Plan preventive maintenance schedules for furnaces, cranes, and other SMS equipment.
- **Quality Control**:

- Ensure adherence to metallurgical specifications and quality standards.
- Interface with the Quality Assurance department for defect analysis and corrective actions.
- **Safety & Compliance**:

- Enforce safety procedures and ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and environmental regulations.
- **Reporting**:

- Maintain daily production reports, shift logs, and consumption records.
- Provide regular updates to senior management.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
