**Automation Strategy**: Develop and execute an automation strategy that leverages emerging technologies like robotic process automation (RPA), machine learning, and artificial intelligence to streamline and optimize business processes.

**Establish IT Architecture Practice**: Assist in establishing an IT Architecture practice and promote the adoption of architecture and standards methodologies with a focus on automation and digital transformation.

**Solution Lifecycle Management**: Oversee activities related to solution ideation, design, and implementation with an emphasis on incorporating automation solutions where applicable.

**Solution Vision and Roadmap**: Define the vision and requirements for solutions, recommending options that may include automation solutions. Develop a roadmap that integrates automation technologies.

**Stakeholder Communication**: Effectively communicate the architecture, including automation components, to stakeholders. Collaborate with domain architects to ensure automation aligns with IT standards and procedures.

**Solution Architecture Program**: Contribute to the development of a solutions architecture program that includes automation-driven projects and initiatives.

**Standards Adherence**: Ensure that automation solutions align with technology standards and guidelines, and influence changes to standards when necessary to accommodate new automation technologies.

**Financial Management**: Assist domain architecture teams in managing the timing and allocation of financial resources for automation projects, considering ROI and cost-effectiveness.

**Technology Evaluation**: Direct the identification and recommendation of appropriate automation solutions, evaluating their potential for improving productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership.

**Proactive Solutions**: Develop and execute automation solutions that proactively address business challenges and reduce the time spent on reactive work.

**Security Analysis**: Provide analysis of security protection technologies specific to automation technologies to ensure data and processes remain secure.

**Knowledge and Skills Required**:
**Communication**: Excellent oral and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts, including automation strategies and technologies, to non-technical stakeholders.

**Attention to Detail**: High attention to detail, especially regarding accounting skills, to assess automation's impact accurately.

**Independence**: Ability to work under indirect supervision, making independent decisions regarding automation strategies and implementation.

**IT Expertise**: Broad understanding of information technology topics, including emerging automation technologies, to inform architectural decisions.
