About the Role

As the Data Quality Lead, you will define data management strategies, drive data management priorities, and issue Enterprise Data Standards and guidelines with the goal of enhancing and continuously improving the controls over of the complete lifecycle of the data.

Your Team

The Master Data Governance (MDG) Data Quality Lead will report to the Sr. Mgr I-Release & Master Data Mgmt

What You Will Do
- Assess the current state of data quality within their scope of responsibility and establish target goals for data quality improvement.
- Responsible for Data Quality Management and Data Transformation - Standardize, govern, and automate critical data elements required to support the transformation
- Setup standards and processes for Data cleansing, Data quality metrics.Identify data quality metrics and execute data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality. Identify optimal approaches for resolving data quality issues to achieve targets and implement improvement approaches in and beyond their immediate area.
- Monitor and track ongoing data quality levels, ensuring that adequate quality is maintained so the data can effectively support business processes. Engage with business leadership and key business stakeholders including managers, directors of business units, executive management team. Qualify, quantify and articulate the business impact of data quality issues and the benefits of master data improvements in business terms.
- Work collaboratively with internal team, IT resources and overall champion or sponsor for the data governance/quality program. Escalate issues exceeding personal scope to the data quality champion or other business leaders
- Regularly exposing data quality metrics via standard reporting mechanisms (for example, data quality scorecard or dashboard).
- Follow prescribed data quality methodologies to execute data quality improvement projects. Identify and quantify resources for data quality improvement projects. Design and support the development of changes to business processes. Identify and support the resolution of processes and behaviors that impact data quality.
- Publicize successes to further engage individuals at all levels of the organization.

What You Need
- Bachelor's degree in a Business, Finance or IT discipline or equivalent experience
- 5+ years’ experience in the development of data governance principles, policies, processes, practices and standards
- Track record of developing or implementing Enterprise level data strategies and scalable process designs consistent with industry practices
- Program/project management using a structured methodology to successfully track, plan, monitor and report on concurrent, multiple projects

What is Nice to Have
- Experience with budgets and financial analysis
- Process reengineering and process mapping
- Change management experience
- Basic Knowledge of SAP Master Data, SAP MDG
- Experience with Data Transformation projects in SAP ECC, SAP S4/HANA
