**Job Summary**:
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring quality standards in the ready-made garment manufacturing industry. This role involves analyzing workflows, implementing best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance overall productivity and operational effectiveness.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Production Process Optimization**:
- Analyze existing production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce cycle times.
- Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all production activities.
**2. Work Measurement and Time Study**:
- Conduct time and motion studies to determine optimal staffing levels and work schedules.
- Set standard production targets and benchmarks for operators and teams.
- Monitor adherence to production standards and suggest corrective actions when necessary.
**3. Capacity Planning**:
a. Evaluate plant capacity and resource utilization to meet production demands.
b. Recommend equipment and manpower adjustments to align with production goals.
**4. Cost Control and Efficiency**:
a. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
b. Implement lean manufacturing principles and waste reduction strategies.
**5. Data Analysis and Reporting**:
a. Collect and analyze production data to track performance metrics (e.g., efficiency, downtime, and defect rates).
b. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
**6. Quality and Compliance**:
a. Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
b. Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed.
**7. Training and Development**:
a. Provide training to production staff on new methods, processes, and machinery.
b. Conduct skill gap analyses and recommend training programs for continuous improvement.
**8. Technology and Innovation**:
a. Evaluate and recommend the adoption of new machinery, tools, and software to improve operations.
b. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
**9. Collaboration**:
a. Work closely with design, merchandising, and production planning teams to align production activities with business objectives.
b. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure mínimal downtime of machinery and equipment.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Garment Production Engineering or Garment Manufacturing Technologist or Textile Engineering.
- **Experience**: Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial engineering within the garment manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in time and motion study techniques and tools (e.g., MOST, MTM).
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with garment production machinery and processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, AutoCAD, ERP systems).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
