Job Summary

The Finance Officer will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of the organization by overseeing financial transactions, reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, financial expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

- Assist in the development of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.

2. Financial Transactions
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

3. Financial Reporting
- Prepare and present financial reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Generate regular financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

4. Budget Management
- Collaborate with department heads to develop departmental budgets.
- Monitor departmental spending against approved budgets and guide on financial matters.

5. Internal Controls
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

6. Cash Management
- Manage the organization's cash flow and liquidity.
- Recommend strategies for optimizing cash resources and investments.

7. Financial Compliance
- Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and ensure compliance.
- Work with external auditors during financial audits.

8. Financial Systems
- Utilize financial software and systems to record, store, and analyze financial data.
- Recommend and implement improvements to financial systems and processes.

**Qualifications**:

- Bcom or CMA
- Proven experience as a Finance Officer or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
