**Position Overview**
**Key Responsibilities (common for all specializations)**
- Conduct detailed patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
- Perform and interpret specialized tests/procedures relevant to the area of specialization.
- Collaborate with other departments and multidisciplinary teams for holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Provide post-treatment follow-up care and support to patients and their families.
- Adhere to the hospital’s protocols, clinical standards, and medical ethics.
- Participate in CMEs, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.
**Specialization-specific Duties**
**1. Gastroenterologist**
- Perform and interpret endoscopic procedures (upper GI, colonoscopy, etc.)
- Manage digestive disorders including liver diseases, IBD, GERD, and pancreatitis.
- Collaborate with dieticians and surgeons as needed for integrated treatment plans.
**2. Neurologist**
- Diagnose and treat neurological disorders such as epilepsy, stroke, migraines, Parkinson's disease, etc.
- Interpret EEGs, EMGs, and other neurodiagnostic tests.
- Provide consultations for inpatients with neurological symptoms.
**3. Nephrologist**
- Manage chronic kidney disease (CKD), dialysis patients, and hypertension-related complications.
- Supervise dialysis units and ensure treatment efficacy and safety.
- Coordinate with urologists and transplant teams when required.
**4. Radiologist**
- Interpret X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, and other imaging modalities.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of imaging results to physicians.
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment and ensure radiation safety compliance.
**Qualifications & Skills**
- MBBS with relevant MD/DM/DNB in the respective specialisation.
- Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council.
- 1-3 years of post-PG clinical experience preferred in hospital settings.
- Excellent diagnostic, communication, and patient-handling skills.
- Commitment to ethical medical practice and continuous learning.
