We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Junior Quality Control to join our team, ensuring the high quality of our made-up têxtile products and Christmas crafts destined for the export market. You will inspect incoming materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, ensuring adherence to specifications and customer requirements.
**Roles & Responsibilities**:
- Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials (fabrics, trims, embellishments, etc.) for made-up têxtiles and components for Christmas crafts, verifying quality, color, and adherence to specifications.
- Inspect work-in-progress and finished goods, identifying any defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from established quality standards and customer specifications. This includes size measurements, stitching quality, finishing, and overall appearance for made-ups, and construction, and detailing for crafts.
- Perform functional testing where applicable (e.g., zipper functionality, seam strength, light functionality in Christmas decorations).
- Collaborate closely with production teams to address quality issues promptly, suggesting corrective actions, and ensuring implementation.
- Conduct final inspection of finished goods and oversee packing process ensuring standard process and protocols are followed for the same.
- Maintain meticulous records of inspections, testing, and quality-related documentation, ensuring traceability and compliance.
- Stay informed about international quality standards, regulations, and customer requirements for made-up têxtiles and Christmas crafts in various export markets.
- Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and standards specific to export requirements.
- Participate in pre-shipment inspections (PSI) as required.
- Communicate effectively with Quality Head and internal stakeholders regarding quality issues.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Technology, or a related field from a renowned institute.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality control, preferably in the têxtile or handicraft industry, with experience in export markets being a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of têxtile manufacturing processes, including cutting, stitching, finishing, and garment construction (for made-ups).
- Familiarity with various Christmas craft materials, techniques, and quality expectations.
- Excellent visual inspection skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to identify and document defects accurately and objectively.
- Knowledge of international quality standards and testing methods (e.g., AQL sampling).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with quality control software (if applicable).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
