Skating Coach

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Skating Training & Skill Development**:

- Plan and deliver skating lessons and training sessions that focus on fundamental skills such as balance, speed, agility, turning, stopping, and advanced skating techniques.
- Design age-appropriate drills and exercises to improve students' technique, control, and overall skating ability.
- Provide individual feedback and guidance to help students improve their skating performance.
- **Competition & Event Preparation**:

- Prepare students for inter-school skating competitions, events, and performances by developing appropriate training plans.
- Oversee students' readiness for competitions, ensuring they are physically prepared, confident, and mentally focused.
- Attend competitions or events to support and coach the students, offering advice and encouragement during the performance.
- **Physical Conditioning & Fitness**:

- Incorporate fitness routines and conditioning exercises to enhance strength, balance, flexibility, and overall skating performance.
- Monitor students’ physical health and progress to prevent injuries and ensure a balanced training regimen.
- **Student Development & Mentorship**:

- Create a positive and encouraging environment where students can develop confidence and skills in skating.
- Help students build self-discipline, focus, and resilience through individual and group activities.
- Motivate students to set personal goals and achieve their best while fostering a love for the sport.
- **Safety & Equipment Management**:

- Ensure all students are wearing proper protective gear (e.g., helmets, pads, skates) and understand safety protocols.
- Maintain the skating rink or practice area, ensuring it is clean, safe, and free of obstacles.
- Manage and maintain skating equipment to ensure it is in good working condition for practices and competitions.
- **Communication & Collaboration**:

- Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding their progress, upcoming events, and any areas of concern.
- Work with other physical education staff and coaches to integrate skating into the broader school sports program.
- Collaborate with the school community to promote skating events, performances, and student achievements.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay current with the latest trends and techniques in skating, including coaching methods and safety standards.
- Participate in coaching workshops, seminars, and conferences to improve coaching skills and knowledge of the sport.
- Reflect on coaching practices and seek feedback from students, parents, and colleagues to continuously improve.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education & Experience**:

- Previous experience as a skating coach, instructor, or competitor.
- Certification in skating coaching or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children or youth in a coaching or teaching environment is desirable.
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of skating techniques, safety, and training methods.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students of different ages and skill levels.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to engage students.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their personal best.
- Organizational skills to manage lesson plans, schedules, and events.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other coaches and staff members.

**Working Conditions**:

- Part-time position with flexible hours based on training schedules and competitions.
- Some evening and weekend work may be required for practices, matches, and events.
- Supportive and dynamic school environment with opportunities for professional growth in sports coaching.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
