- SURFACE GRINDING OPERATORS
- Min 2 years work experience in Tool Room Machines - (Lathe, Milling, Surface Grinding)
- Qualification: ITI / GTTC / NTTF / Diploma.
- **Technical Proficiency**: DRO milling operators need a strong understanding of milling machines, tooling, and materials. They should be adept at reading technical drawings, understanding geometric dimensions and tolerances, and selecting appropriate cutting tools.
- **DRO System Operation**: Mastery of the DRO system is essential. Operators should know how to input coordinates, set zeros, and utilize various functions such as incremental and absolute positioning, tool offsets, and part programming.
- **Problem-solving Abilities**: Milling operations can encounter various challenges such as tool wear, material inconsistencies, or machine malfunctions. Skilled operators can troubleshoot issues efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain quality standards.
- **Attention to Detail**: Precision is paramount in milling operations. Operators must pay close attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements, proper tool alignment, and adherence to specified tolerances.
- **Safety Awareness**: Working with milling machines involves inherent risks. Operators need to adhere to safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), securing workpieces properly, and understanding machine-specific safety features.
- **Mathematical Skills**: Proficiency in basic mathematics and geometric calculations is necessary for tasks such as determining feed rates, calculating cutting speeds, and adjusting tool paths.
- **Material Knowledge**: Understanding the properties and behaviors of different materials (metals, plastics, composites, etc.) is crucial for selecting appropriate cutting parameters, tooling, and machining strategies.
