**Job Title: Sonography Receptionist**

**Position Overview**: The Sonography Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors at a diagnostic imaging center or medical facility. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service, managing the appointment scheduling process, and supporting the sonography department's smooth operation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Patient Interaction**:

- Greet patients and visitors warmly as they arrive at the facility.
- Provide information regarding services, procedures, and policies in a clear and compassionate manner.
- **Appointment Scheduling**:

- Manage appointment scheduling for sonography services, ensuring efficient use of resources and optimal patient flow.
- Confirm appointments and provide reminders to patients prior to their scheduled visits.
- **Patient Records Management**:

- Maintain accurate patient records and files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Verify and update patient demographics, insurance information, and medical history.
- **Communication**:

- Act as a liaison between patients, sonographers, and other healthcare staff, relaying important information and addressing any inquiries.
- Answer incoming phone calls in a professional manner, addressing patient concerns or directing calls to the appropriate department.
- **Billing and Insurance**:

- Assist patients with billing inquiries and insurance verification processes.
- Prepare and process any necessary paperwork related to insurance claims and patient transactions.
- **Administrative Support**:

- Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
- **Coordination**:

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care and workflow within the department.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions as required.

**Qualifications: Graduate in any stream with receptionist experience**

**Working Conditions**:

- Primarily works in a medical office or imaging center environment.
- May require standing for long periods and the ability to handle a busy reception area.
