The Residential School Doctor is responsible for overseeing the health and well-being of students within a residential school setting. This role involves providing medical care, managing health programs, and promoting a healthy living environment.

**Responsibilities**:
**Medical Care**:Conduct routine medical examinations for students.
Diagnose and treat common illnesses and injuries.
Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate records.

**Emergency Response**:Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide necessary first aid.
Collaborate with emergency services when needed.

**Health Promotion**:Develop and implement health education programs for students.
Promote healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention.

**Record Keeping**:Maintain up-to-date and accurate medical records for all students.
Document medical treatments, prescriptions, and follow-up care.

**Collaboration**:Work closely with school staff, counselors, and parents to address health concerns.
Collaborate with external healthcare professionals as needed.

**Immunization and Health Screenings**:Coordinate and conduct immunization programs.
Organize and oversee health screenings for students.

**Health Policy Compliance**:Ensure compliance with health regulations and school policies.
Advise school administration on health-related matters.

**Counseling and Support**:Provide counseling on health-related issues.
Support students in managing chronic health conditions.

**Community Engagement**:Participate in parent-teacher meetings to address health-related concerns.
Organize health-related workshops for the school community.

**Qualifications**:

- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid medical license.
- Experience in pediatric or adolescent medicine preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.

**Working Conditions**:The Residential School Doctor will work on-site and may be required to be on call for emergencies. The role may involve occasional evening or weekend responsibilities.
