**Job Summary**:
As a key member of the HR payroll team, the payroll assistant will assist in the day-to-day payroll administrative functions using Paylocity payroll software. Maintains and processes monthly and biweekly payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner. Adheres to an end-to-end processing schedule and completes regular audits to verify payroll data accuracy.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist with processing full-cycle payroll, multi-state payroll, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll statements for over 500 employees
- Ensure accurate and prompt review and accounting of timekeeping, deductions, incomes, rate changes, and other data critical to meeting deadlines and compliance for biweekly and monthly payroll processing
- Coordinate with human resources, contracts, billing, immigration, and other departments to ensure proper flow and entry of employee payroll data
- Data entry and maintenance of pay, overtime, and bonus reports
- Monitor submission of approved timesheets, resolve discrepancies, and ensure valid data transfers from timekeeping system onto Paylocity Web Pay
- Process and maintain records of employee leave status
- Maintain compliant policies and procedures for processing payroll checks
- Maintain highly confidential payroll records and files
- Generate reports on a regular or on-demand basis to support payroll processing
- Facilitate timely resolution of all payroll-related issues, concerns, and questions brought forth by employees
- Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- Working knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of payroll processing
- Demonstrated time management, decision-making, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide great attention to detail
- Exceptional level of customer service skills
- Familiarity with payroll software ADP a plus
- Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills required
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
