**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design new gravity die casting dies using CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, UG NX, or similar)
- Understand customer component drawings and develop die concepts accordingly
- Create detailed 2D & 3D die designs, BOMs, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with toolmakers and CNC programmers for die manufacturing and validation
- Optimize die designs for improved productivity, cycle time, and die life
- Participate in design reviews, DFM (Design for Manufacturability) discussions
- Address modifications, reworks, and improvements in existing dies
- Ensure die designs adhere to industry and safety standards
- Maintain project timelines and communicate with internal teams

**Key Skills Required**:

- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks/Autodesk Inventor/UG NX or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of gravity die casting process and tool room practices
- Good understanding of materials (e.g., tool steels, aluminum alloys)
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications
- Basic understanding of machining operations like milling, turning, EDM
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Team coordination and communication
