The **DAV Group - Chennai**, functioning under the aegis of Tamil Nadu Arya Samaj Educational Society was established in **1970**at Gopalapuram in Chennai with just 50 students. The Group today, caters to over **40,000 students** across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. It has a staff of 1500 plus which includes 1,200 teachers. Four of our branches have been consistently ranked amongst top 15 schools in the country.
In addition to K-12 schooling, DAV has recently ventured into **Higher Education** with DAV-SMK Fomra College of Arts & Science at Kelambakkam, Chennai.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Teach theatre arts to students of various classes and skill levels.
- Direct school productions, including plays, musicals, and other performances.
- Guide students in developing their acting, voice, and movement skills.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and self
- expression.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and evaluate performances.
- Organize and manage school theatre events, productions, and performances.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
**Requirements**:
- Teaching experience, preferably in a school setting.
- Background in theatre arts, including acting, directing, and playwriting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Should possess good leadership qualities and take initiative
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and passion for theatre arts.
Salary shall commensurate with experience, as applicable
