**Role: Director - Cloud Engineering**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Strategic Leadership**: Lead and manage the Cloud Engineering team, setting clear goals, priorities, and expectations. Align cloud strategies with the organization's overall goals and ensure that cloud technologies enable business innovation and operational efficiency.
- **Cloud Architecture & Design**:Take ownership of the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructures.
- **Team Development & Mentorship**:Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of cloud engineers. Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and innovation. Provide guidance on career development, technical growth, and performance improvement.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration**:Collaborate closely with other engineering teams, product management, security, and operations to deliver high-quality, reliable, and scalable cloud solutions. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align technical initiatives with business needs.
- **Cloud Security & Compliance**: Ensure cloud solutions are secure, compliant with relevant regulations, and follow best practices for data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity. Work with the security team to implement robust security protocols and monitoring.
- **Innovation & Research**:Stay current with the latest cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Evaluate new tools, platforms, and methodologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the cloud infrastructure.
- **Incident Management & Troubleshooting**:Take a leadership role in addressing and resolving critical cloud infrastructure issues. Establish a robust incident management process and ensure that cloud systems are highly available and resilient.

**Requirements & Skills**
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- At least 12-15 years of experience in cloud engineering or related fields, with a proven track record of leading high-performing cloud engineering teams.
- Strong experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-native technologies (containerization, Kubernetes, microservices, etc.).
- Experience in architecting and deploying large-scale, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud-based systems.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps principles, and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Proven leadership experience, including team management, strategic planning, and mentoring of engineering talent.
- Expertise in cloud computing services such as compute, storage, networking, and databases in a cloud environment.
- Solid understanding of cloud security best practices, IAM, and regulatory compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2, etc.).
- Strong experience with DevOps tools, automation frameworks, monitoring systems, and cloud management platforms.
- Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (Python, Go, Shell, etc.) for automation and system integration.
- Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure and lead teams through complex and high-stakes situations.
- Track record of driving technical innovation, process improvements, and operational efficiency.
- Experience in building and scaling high-performance, distributed engineering teams.
- Strategic thinking with an ability to translate business needs into cloud solutions.
- Proactive problem solver with a customer-centric mindset.
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team, fostering a culture of ownership and excellence.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud architectures.
- Knowledge of serverless computing, microservices architectures, and event-driven design.
- Experience in working with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹3,000,000.00 - ₹5,000,000.00 per year
