**Job title** : Production Operator II (Press Operator)

**Job description**:

- Role and responsibilities or main accountabilities:

- Participate in daily stand down meetings.
- Operates compression molding press for production of seals.
- As per shop floor rotation plan operates production milling and hot feed extruder/hot feed performer machine.
- As per shop floor rotation performs spring blasting and chemical preparation of metal springs, composite springs, nylon ropes etc.
- As per shop floor rotation flash trimming and spring assembly.
- As per shop floor rotation plan work on mold pre heating, post cure oven for performing final curing formalities.
- Perform HAZID & HAZOP on frequent intervals as part of assessment and process improvement.
- Prepares and participate in Job safety analysis discussion and tool box talk.
- Co-ordinates with stores team for material issue and return.
- Perform material movement using appropriate material handling equipment.
- Perform lifting, movement activity of heavy weight parts using EOT crane/Jib Crane/Forklift/Electric Stacker/Pallet Trucks.
- Support in performing dimensional inspection of the parts using various measuring instruments.
- Co-ordinate with Shop floor lead/ Process Engineer/Production manager/ SME on process improvement review meeting. Provides input and work on the execution plan. product teams to address deviation and update on the test status.
- Participate in design kick off and review meeting for the work shop tools.
- Support quality in providing required process data as and when required.
- Performs maintenance of production equipment’s.
- Co-ordinate with OEM for maintenance and rectification activity.
- Performs 5S activity.
- Participate and support in incident investigation activity.
- Co-ordinate with procurement department for enquiry generation and technical clarification, if required.
- Supports in material movement, loading and unloading and various logistic activities as and when required.
- Provides input for document revision such as standard work instructions, capacity upgradations, process enhancement etc.
- Support IMS core team to provide all required inputs in updating the procedures, process documents and any other documentation as and when required.
- Actively participate in HSE and other shop floor campaigns.

- Preferred qualifications and experiences:

- Education level:
**ITI in Mechanical/ Fitter / Rubber Technology / Plastic Technology/ Foundry / Machinist.**:

**Diploma in** Mechanical / Rubber Technology / Plastic Technology / Production trade.**:

**Any other Technical / Non-technical Graduate**:

- **Experience**:

- Minimum 3 year of experience in production line as an operator for handling rubber products machineries e.g. compression molding press, injection molding press, rubber mill, rubber extrusion machine etc.
- Skills
- Must possess a clear understanding of general math & have the ability to read, write & comprehend written and spoken English “or” Hindi.
- Ability to comprehend technical drawings, BOM (bill of material), operation & maintenance procedures, quality & safety documents.
- Must have experience operating production machineries for producing rubber or flexible seals.
- Hands on work experience in operating compression/injection molding press machines will be an added advantage.
- Must be familiar with hot extrusion methods and machineries.
- Must posses hands on experiencing in handling rubber extrusion machines. (Hot/Cold).
- Must be experienced in handling 48” or above size two roll rubber mill.
- Must have good understanding about all potential hazards linked with rubber milling process.
- Must be familiar with rubber mixing process.
- Must be familiar with mixed batch and rubber batch management process.
- Must be able to prepare rubber sample for compression and elongation testing.
- Should have a clear understanding on the rubber testing processes.
- Should be familiar with extrusion machine maintenance processes.
- Must be familiar with shop floor hand tools and maintenance tools.
- Must be aware about industrial safety standards.
- Should be aware about basic chemical safety standards.
- Hands on working experience with hot milling machines would be given additional preferences.
- Must be trained on operating overhead crane/jib cranes. Operating knowledge (with valid license) of forklift would be an added advantage.
- Operating knowledge on hydraulic systems like hydraulic HPU/oil filtration unit /hydraulic power packs for presses or other hydraulically driven machineries will be given additional preferences.
- Awareness on metal blasting machineries.
- Ability to perform dimensional inspection for rubber seals and trimming of extra flash would be given additional preferences.
