**Job Summary**
This position is responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up and operating a CNC machine. Also perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery. Use specialized instruments to ensure quality requirements.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
Machine Setup: Prepare and set up CNC machines for operation by installing and aligning fixtures, tools, and workpieces according to specifications.

Programming: Develop and edit CNC programs using computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software. This involves translating blueprints, technical drawings, or design models into machine instructions to guide the CNC machine's movements.

Tooling Selection: Choose appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and fixtures based on job requirements, material properties, and machine capabilities.

Machine Operation: Operate CNC machines by loading materials, setting appropriate machine parameters (speed, feed, and depth of cut), and initiating the machining process. Monitor operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.

Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify conformance to specifications. Make necessary adjustments or modifications as required.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and tool replacement. Identify and resolve common operational issues and minor malfunctions.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production data, including setup sheets, tooling sheets, and production logs. Report any deviations, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns to supervisors or relevant personnel.

Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Adhere to all relevant regulations and standards for CNC machining operations.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, productivity enhancement, and cost reduction. Propose and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
