The job requirements for the Web Designer Intern, which involves the basic understanding of both graphics design and computer programming, will be to learn how to:

- Assist in planning, creating and coding web pages, the layouts and features, using both non-technical and technical skills to produce websites that fit our internal as well as customer requirements.
- Ensure the designed websites are responsive across all platforms (desktop, laptop, mobile and tablet).
- Technically draw-up detailed website specifications.
- Design page layouts with due attention to the appropriate design elements in terms of text font type, size and colours.
- Possess knowledge of registering web domain names and organising the hosting of the website.
- Code the design of the website using an array of appropriate software / programming languages including HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Jquery, JavaScript and others.
- Work with different content management systems.
- Edit content, debugging code and re-designing web pages.
- Work with other web specialists including web developers and graphic designers.
- Research current design trends, and keep up to date with the latest developments in web design and software technologies.
- Upgrade the site by updating content and graphics, monitoring performance and results, identifying and evaluating improvement options; introducing new technology and maintaining links

**Desired Skills & Qualifications**:
The incumbent should be undergoing either of the following **qualifications**:
**A.** Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Applications/related Program from a reputed and premier college.

**B.** Master’s Degree in Computer Applications/related Program from a reputed and premier college.

The incumbent, shall possess the following **skills (preferred but not essential)**:

- Basic computer programming language proficiency in HTML, CSS, jQuery and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of technologies like Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Good sense of observation and creativity
- ** Consistency **in design is essential.
- Knowledge in technical **website optimization**.
- MS Office proficiency
- Knowledge of JavaScript (or jQuery) to assist in development of web pages
- Sound knowledge of writing and editing content on the website
- Ability to develop sleek functioning websites and managing projects effectively and proactively
- Determining technical requirements, creating backup files and solving code problems
- Editing of video and audio, multimedia programming and web page scripting
- Creative ability coupled with an ability to write and edit copy in prescribed brand voice
