**Who you are**Ingka Centres is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Architect to join our team and help drive revenue and growth for our Meeting Places. As an Architect, you will be responsible for collaborating with IKEA Retail, the Ingka Group, and external contractors to ensure that we create great meeting places for the many people. You will also ensure that the design of the project meets the conceptual and commercial aspirations meeting the regulatory requirements. You will also monitor quality assurance and control through full coordination of all disciplines in the project. You should be passionate about designing unique, customer-focused spaces, and safeguarding concepts to ensure that they are translated into the Architectural narrative and monitored throughout the delivery of the project. We think that you are a go-getter who's self-motivated and results-oriented. You should have a thorough understanding of the design process and design management, as well as experience in developing large retail-led mixed-use projects. And you love collaborating with others (including virtual teams) to achieve our shared goalsTo be successful in this role, we think you also have knowledge of:

- Design process & its management at various project stages
- Area calculations, FAR, green FAR, BUA, etc
- Local codes and regulations, good proficiency a great advantage
- Material sourcing and building specification
- NBC, latest building bylaws, and keeping abreast of latest government policies and notifications
- Green Building (LEED) and WELL Certification buildings
- English proficient, written and oral

We also think you have a background with
- University degree in Architecture
- Minimum 5-10 years full cycle experience with Shopping centre development and/or management in the international real estate investor/developer
- Minimum 5-10 years of Experience in developing large retail led mixed use projects, with a thorough understanding of design process and design management
- Work experience with International Architects and consultants (Developer and design firms a plus)
- Experience and knowledge in external Architectural design and interior and design
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch up, Photoshop, Microsoft office packages
- Experience of working on Revit, BIM 360 or equivalent

**A day in your life with us**As an integral member of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring that the design of our projects meets the conceptual and commercial aspirations of our company. This will involve monitoring quality assurance and control through full coordination of all disciplines in the project, as well as ensuring that code and regulation requirements are met. As an Architect at Ingka Centres, your days will be filled with a wide range of tasks and responsibilities. You'll be responsible for designing and appraising various inputs from consultants, including advice for design alternatives, and exploring possibilities for improvement in design solutions. You'll monitor and appraise the coordination of technical inputs amongst consultants of various disciplines and provide front-line advice for Interior Architect and Tenant Coordinator Manager of technical coordination. You'll also provide front-line appraisal of local and international codes and regulation compliance, as well as support to our Design Manager on monitoring progress of technical approval by various authorities, analyzing compliance constraints and exploring solution possibilities. Additionally, you'll develop key design initiatives and studies as part of the development of the Design competence and knowledge hub, collate and share all design function related project learnings globally. What you’ll do every day:

- Technical coordination appraisal: Monitor and appraise the coordination of technical inputs amongst consultants of various disciplines (Architecture, leasing, architecture, etc.; Facade, VT, Traffic, Landscape, Lightning, C&S, MEP, ID); provide front-line advice for Interior Architect and Tenant Coordinator Manager of technical coordination
- Design appraisal: Support the Design Manager and project team on appraising various inputs from consultants including advice for design alternatives and/or to explore possibilities for improvement in design solution.
- Codes and regulation support: Provide front-line appraisal of local & international codes and regulation compliance
- Special assignments, special assignments given by Design manager, including studies, (Sketches, drawings) on conceptual and/or commercial developments
- Support in contact with authorities, General contractor, local architect
- Intra-department coordination between in-house team - Projects, Leasing, Operations, Sales & Marketing, Procurement, etc. and PMC & all external design consultants
