**About the role**:
Bekaert Industries, a renowned steel transformation manufacturer, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Steward to join its Advanced Digital Services Team. Bekaert is leading transformation program to enhance the digital experience end-to-end that drive impact across multiple channels.

At Bekaert, we value our Master Data and hence invest in effective Master Data Management and Data Governance practices to support us in achieving our digital ambitions. To establish a sustained enterprise-wide Master Data Management and Data Governance approach in co-drive with functions and businesses, the Advanced Digital Solutions (ADS) organization will strengthen the capability with Data and Information Experts with a product group/domain focus.

**Your Impact**:
As a Master Data Steward for Customer Commercial domain (oversees Master data management, data quality rules, and governance etc.) and responsible for global master data practices, you will be responsible for represent business information and data by aligning with integrating strategic vision and roadmap for Customer Commercial, you will assure and drive in the process domain of Customer Commercial:

- **Streamline SAP Master Data management and practices across business units**:Bekaert has diverse portfolio in steel wire segment and is spread across multiple geographies. Each business unit has its own complexities and data management rules as per business practices. It’s vital to understand the operational complexities and business requirements in Customer Commercial domain and suggest optimal master data structure for this domain. As Global master data steward you will be responsible for-
- Work on harmonizing & documenting the data models and practices across different data templates wherever possible.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate master data requirements for Commercial processes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP customer and commercial master data with other digital platforms to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Help Master data transformation from data legacy tool to SAP MDG.
- **Enable effective SAP master data and governance**- Establish and enforce data governance policies /standards and procedures to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of customer and Commercial master data.
- Deploy the master data governance framework and use the supporting data management tools.
- Define data quality metrics and monitor data quality performance against established targets.
- Conduct regular data governance reviews and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Discuss and agree on life-cycle management functional rules for the different objects, execute life-cycle management for Customer Commercial master data.
- **Lead and support master data projects**:
- Lead design, plan and build aspects for master data migration and roll-out projects in Customer Commercial domain across different business units.
- Initiate master data clean-up drives and assists business to improvise and maintain hygienic data to address various data related issues in Customer Commercial domain.
- Inform stakeholders on impact of the global data changes.- **Strengthen Master Data support for all business units**:Master Data steward global have responsibility to strengthen and develop local MDM support system at regional and plant level with help of PCO.
- Work with master data service team and content owners, understand the issues, create awareness, and document right practices including imparting training and evaluating authorization to maintain master data.
- Ensure data accuracy and completeness by performing regular data audits and validations.
- Handle the complaints on master data maintenance and data quality.

**About You**:
**Essential skills & competencies**
- Strong knowledge of SAP master data modules and functionality, experience of processes in functional areas like SAP SD/MM.
- Proven experience of working in Master Data Management and Governance function, with hand’s on working on MDM
