About the role

The Product Owner (PO) is responsible for defining Features and Stories, prioritizing the Program Backlogs & Team Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the team. The PO has a significant role in maximizing the value produced by the team and in quality control for the work products he is responsible for. This role has significant relationships and responsibilities outside the local team.

The Product Owner (PO) with his/her team will collaborate together with other OEM agile teams in developing software components across various domains like Positioning, Telephony, Calls, Connectivity etc for next generation Telematics Control Unit

What You Will Do

Job Responsibilities:
Within a dedicated software project related to an automotive OEM telematics device:

- Content authority of backlogs(programs, team)
- Develop product vision and roadmap, present during PI Planning
- Define features and stories based on system requirements/software requirements
- Will be customer interface for all Agile feature delivery for Telematics domain.
- Preparation and Participation in PI Planning on a regular basis (every 12 weeks)
- Definition of iterations and stories and acceptance of iteration increments
- Drive of iteration goals and iteration content via prioritized stories
- Establish story acceptance criteria and acceptance of stories into the baseline
- Performance of inspect and adapt sessions
- During each PI, the PO coordinates dependencies with other POs as and when clarifications are needed.
- The PO also has an instrumental role in producing the System Demo for program and Value Stream stakeholders.
- Strive to encapsulate and incorporate more and more aspects of features for a given domain within Platform to increase re-usability
- Collaborate with Architecture team in prioriritizing enabler work

Besides of the agile project activities:

- Responsible as assigned by the BU supervisor for the partial project execution, i.e., for delivery in time, in quality & at costs in compliance with the committed targets of the project
- Creation presentation of project status reports related to the responsible domain as requested by BU supervisor

What You Need

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engg
- Minimum of 10+ years of overall experience
- Working experience in Automotive domain, Telematics experience is added benefit.
- Software Development experience working on one or more domains below
- Positioning - GNSS, Correction Data services, Dead-Reckoning, NavSens, Location History
- Calls - eCall, Voice Calls, Calls audio processing Telephony stack - SMS, DSDA, DSDS, VoLTE VoIP Vo5G, Mobile Data, RIL, SIM, eSIM, Access Profile, MMO Registration, Remote SIM, In-Band Data
- Connectivity - Bluetooth, Wifi, IP connectivity, Data Routing, Vehicle Network
- Experience in writing System Requirements & Software Requirement Specification
- Good understanding of Software requirement engineering process
- Good understanding of integration and CI/ CD.
- Agile Product Owner Certification
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience as product owner within agile teams.
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in working within agile teams
- Minimum of 6+ year experience in embedded software development
- Good knowledge in software development for telematics products/devices for automotive vehicles
- Analytical skills and good system understanding in the embedded SW area
- Self-driven and able to help other achieve this.
- Autonomous and systematic way of working.
- Experience working in IBM ALM (DNG, RTC, RQM)
